Peace Postcard Project

Inspiring Global Awareness Through Personal Reflections

We are continually seeking meaningful ways to enrich experiences that foster a deeper sense of equality, respect, diversity, empathy, and global awareness. The Peace Postcard Project encourages people of all ages and walks of life to express their thoughts, hopes, and ideas about peace. Peace Postcards is a worldwide initiative inviting everyone to reflect on what peace looks like and means to them personally, and how it can impact our world.

While global peace may seem like a lofty goal that feels unattainable to many, the Peace Postcard Project brings the conversation closer to home emphasizing that kindness, empathy, respect, and inner peace are pathways to achieving peace on a larger scale. Everyone’s vision for peace is unique, and those from different backgrounds—whether they’ve faced injustice, challenges, or hardship—may have a perspective on peace that resonates with others in profound ways.

This project is open to everyone: individuals, families, educators, professionals, retirees, and community groups. No artistic skill is required—what matters is taking the time to reflect on peace and express what it means to you.

How to Participate:

=

One

Draw, write, paint, or collage your vision of what peace looks like. Whether it’s abstract or simple, the act of thinking about peace is what’s important.

=

Two

Share your postcard with your family and friends by taking a picture and, if you’re over 16, posting it on social media.

=

Three

Optional: Record a short video sharing the story behind your postcard—why peace is important to you, how you came up with your idea, or what you learned by participating.

Some Prompts to Get You Started:

– Think about a time when someone did something kind for you. How did it make you feel? How did that act of kindness contribute to your sense of peace?

– Reflect on a time when you saw or experienced someone being unkind or hurtful. How did it affect you, and what could have helped foster more understanding in that situation?

– Consider how communities—like trees in a forest—work together to grow and thrive, even when resources are limited. What values like cooperation and sharing do we need to nurture peace in our own “forest”?

Each peace postcard is like planting a seed of possibility. Together, these seeds can take root and grow into a new kind of forest and create a ripple effect – one built on empathy, understanding, and hope for a more cooperative and peaceful world.

Once your Peace Postcard is completed, please scan your postcard, and send it to peace@the-innerpreneur.com.
