My Story

Whitney’s entrepreneurial spirit began at a young age. At the age of 8, she made her first $100 selling handmade hair clips, setting the stage for future ventures.

Whitney’s international adventures began at the age of 12 when Toluca, Mexico became her temporary home as an exchange student. One of the host families was extremely wealthy, yet a mother and her two children were living in a cardboard box down the road. Nobody could explain why. This ignited her passion to bridge the gaps of injustices and inequalities.

As a Kentucky Derby Princess, Whitney represented the festival with grace and determination, appearing on NBC’s Good Morning America. However, her internship with NBC tested her resolve when her first on-camera “stand-up” resulted in an anxiety attack – not once, but twice. She thought her life and career were over. Instead of giving up, she transformed the experience into a lesson in perseverance.

In 1998, Whitney founded Americas Business Link (ABL), a boutique consulting firm originally supporting U.S. companies entering the Argentinian market with research and business matchmaking. Based in Buenos Aires, she worked with the U.S. Embassy and the Inter-American Development Bank where she facilitated trade events and conferences supporting Latin American small businesses. ABL served as the strategic business development arm for private equity firms evaluating new investment opportunities. ABL became known for its innovative strategies and creative problem-solving, helping many small businesses succeed in new markets.

Whitney worked in the press office during the Presidential campaign and helped establish the foreign correspondence department of the Clinton White House.

Whitney’s work with the White House Advance team during South American state visits showcased her adaptability and poise under pressure. This was the first time she experienced the enormity of the White House Presidential security team first-hand. At the 1998 Summit of the Americas in Santiago, Chile, President Clinton was on stage addressing all 33 Latin American presidents with no translator in sight. Whitney played a critical role in resolving a last-minute credentialing issue, ensuring a delayed translation for President Clinton reached the audience of 33 Latin American presidents—a triumph that exemplified the kind of resourcefulness that she now teaches.

Whitney was a guest speaker for Dr. Kaihan Krippendorff’s Entrepreneurship classes at Florida International University (FIU) and Miami International University (MIU). She was soon asked to take over his courses at Miami International University, inspiring Fashion and Merchandising students to think creatively and embrace their entrepreneurial potential.

As a Rotary Scholar from Louisville, Kentucky, Whitney was required to do speaking engagements to share her Argentinian cultural exchanges. She was a guest on Frankfort’s Global Connection TV. Years later, Miami’s Global Connection TV was born. She interviewed changemakers, non-profits, Ambassadors, and highlighted peacekeeping and humanitarian efforts. In 2006, Whitney earned the Earl James Innovative Use of Technology Award from the United Nations Association for the 26 episodes produced – five of them at the UN TV studios in New York.

Beginning in 2008, Whitney’s entrepreneurial venture with a beginner music production software and marketing company called The Music Producer (originally Hip Hop Starz), took her to the headquarters of Google, HP, MTV and meeting with one of the ‘sharks’ on Shark Tank. The software sold into more than 30 countries. VC fundraising efforts were stymied after her car accident and spinal fusion. Through initiatives like the Win a Record Contract Contest, Whitney combined her business acumen with her passion for social causes, inspiring disadvantaged youth and raising awareness for critical issues.

In 2014, after learning that her spinal fusion had failed and she could not carry a pregnancy, Whitney faced physical and emotional devastation. Turning to the Creative Insight Journey course, she found healing, tools for resilience, and a renewed sense of purpose. Inspired by the transformative impact of the 8-week course, she became a certified instructor. Today, Whitney empowers others to overcome challenges, tap into their creativity, and live with intention. She continues to be humbled by the life-changing results that her participants and clients report back.

As a former competitive gymnast and cheerleader, Whitney always valued movement. After a car accident revealed a spinal condition, she turned to Pilates as a cornerstone of her recovery. Despite being a case study in Switzerland where neuro and orthopaedic surgeons recommended revision spine surgery, Whitney has avoided further operations through holistic practices, mindfulness, and Pilates. As a comprehensive Polestar Pilates instructor, she helps clients achieve pain relief, strength, more active and fulfilling lives.
